Cordyline fruticosa ‘Pink Edge’ New release Cordyline fruticosa 'Pink Edge' (Ti Plant)
Cordyline ‘Pink Edge’ is a striking, high-impact tropical evergreen that brings instant architectural structure and vibrant colour to subtropical landscapes. This highly popular cultivar features upright, glossy green lanceolate leaves elegantly framed by an intense, hot-pink margin. As it matures, the dense juvenile foliage expands into a multi-caned, dramatic vertical feature. It is highly versatile, performing exceptionally well as a bold patio container plant, a vibrant indoor accent or a mass-planted understory feature in frost free gardens
Mature Size: Typically achieves 1.5 to 2.5 metres in height and 0.7 to 1.2 metres in width.
Foliage: Broad, strap-like deep emerald green leaves with a distinct, glowing fuchsia-pink border.
Light Preference: Bright indirect light or filtered sun. Light shade protects the brilliant variegation from fading in harsh afternoon sun.
Watering: Prefers regular, even moisture in well-draining soil. Tolerates short dry spells once established but looks lushest with consistent water.
Hardiness: Strictly frost-tender. Ideal for subtropical, tropical & warm coastal climates. Requires indoor or greenhouse overwintering in cooler regions
Instant Tropical Vibe: Perfect for adding an immediate layer of exotic, high-contrast colour to modern, Balinese, or Mediterranean-style gardens.
Low Maintenance Asset: Virtually disease-free, highly adaptable, and only requires an annual application of slow-release fertiliser.
