Illawara Flame Tree Brachychiton acerifolius
Becomes a tall, stately, upright tree with a spreading crown. Large, glossy, lobed leaves. Leaves drop in spring prior to flowering to reveal vivid-scarlet bell shaped flowers which coincide with the New Zealand late December Christmas time.
A magnificent tree to grow should you have the space.

- High wind tolerant.
- Will manage frosts to -3C.
- Requires little moisture and is drought tolerant.
- Manages coastal conditions well. Salt spray will cause minimal marking.
- Prefers a cool temperature.
